We humans can get over confident of our place in the world. One long look at the sky reminds me of my proper place in the natural order. Today I had the pleasure of waking in the still-dark crisp of early morning to walk under starlight, watching puffy clouds drift past bright sun over Lake Erie, and witnessing my kids play baseball in the rose glow of evening.
Smallness isn’t valued in our society but it is valuable currency in God’s upside kingdom. May we embrace being small so he may be magnified.
